Junior Systems Engineer
About The Position
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for a Junior Systems Engineer position. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and talented group of individuals committed to driving success. The Junior Systems Engineer will support Navy C4I programs by providing systems engineering expertise across the design, integration, and implementation of life cycle. This position involves applying professional engineering knowledge to ensure solutions meet DoD requirements and operational standards. The individual will collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams, maintain documentation, and leverage three or more years of systems engineering experience to deliver reliable and effective solutions.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- 1+ years of experience in systems engineering or related fields
- Experience supporting DoD or Navy C4I programs
- Familiarity with systems design, integration, and implementation processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

- Industry certifications such as Security+ PMP or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Provide systems engineering support across the full lifecycle, including design, integration, testing, and implementation
- Support DoD and Navy C4I programs by contributing to secure, reliable, and mission-focused engineering solutions
- Coordinate with technical teams, stakeholders, and program leadership to ensure alignment with mission objectives
- Ensure compliance with systems engineering standards, cybersecurity requirements, and DoD policies
- Contribute to the development of engineering deliverables and technical solutions within established timelines
