About The Position

The Junior Systems Engineer supports systems engineering activities related to the design, development, and analysis of systems. The role assists with requirements management, system design, and the use of architecture and systems engineering tools. The Junior Systems Engineer contributes to engineering tasks that support the development of systems with qualities such as portability, scalability, and interoperability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Operations Research, or Computer Science.
• Entry-level to early-career experience supporting systems engineering, requirements management, or system design activities.
• Knowledge of systems that require portability, scalability, and interoperability.
• Familiarity with systems architecture and requirements management tools.
• Knowledge of requirements management or system design of systems that possess qualities such as portability, scalability, and interoperability.
• Knowledge of architecture tools such as CORE, Rhapsody, MagicDraw, DOORS, Requisite Pro, OPNET, NETWARS, CaliberRM, and executable UM.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Naval Surface Warfare Center / DoD Test and Evaluation support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering activities including system design and requirements management.
• Assist with the design and development of systems that possess qualities such as portability, scalability, and interoperability.
• Utilize architecture and systems engineering tools such as CORE, Rhapsody, MagicDraw, DOORS, Requisite Pro, OPNET, NETWARS, CaliberRM, and executable UM.
• Assist with systems engineering analysis and documentation activities.
