Junior Systems Administrator
About The Position
We are hiring! We are looking for a Junior Systems Administrator that will support our MIDS Data Center in Memphis TN. This role is onsite with on- call rotation. What will you do: Work with site lead and take direction for daily activities Performs coordination of associated activities for facilities management and material/equipment handling, must work on-site at a customer data center in Memphis, TN. Communicate with customers, suppliers, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information or fulfill requests/change orders/problem tickets Complete site audits and report to Hardware Asset Manager Maintains infrastructure rack and power diagrams and makes reports as needed May serve as backup While performing the duties of this job, the resource is frequently required to handle; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl The employee may also occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more Building out racks and placing servers and network hardware in racks, connecting cables power and configuring ilo ports for management access.
Requirements
- 2 years with BS/BA OR 6 years with no degree
- Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity
- Experience with a data center and installing equipment, IT components
- Experience with servers, SAN, cabling, VM a plus
- Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Experience with SNOW or other ITSM tools
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Agency Clearance
