Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of hands‑on IT experience (or equivalent education + experience)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across servers, networks, clients, and phone systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, GPO, file sharing, and scripting
  • Working knowledge of virtualization (VMware), firewalls, VPN, and network monitoring
  • Solid understanding of security best practices
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist with equipment installs
  • A mindset that balances problem‑solving, customer service, and continuous learning

Responsibilities

  • Monitor system and network performance—and jump in fast when something looks off.
  • Maintain security, backups, permissions, and user access across our infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade workstations, laptops, printers, servers, phones, and networking equipment.
  • Support Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, file shares, and Microsoft Server environments.
  • Troubleshoot both on‑prem and virtual infrastructure, including VMware and VCenter.
  • Manage firewall rules, VPNs, IPS, and threat‑prevention tools.
  • Spot and mitigate phishing, spam, and social‑engineering attempts.
  • Retrieve DVR video footage for staff and law enforcement when needed.
  • Work directly with vendors and support teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend innovations.
  • Perform other duties that keep our IT operations safe, modern, and stable.
