Summary: The Junior Sales Executive supports the commercial activities by driving lead generation, supporting customer relationship development, and assisting in day-to-day sales operations. This role is highly hands-on and proactive, requiring strong communication skills, the ability to hustle for new opportunities, and the curiosity to understand customer needs and product requirements. The Junior Sales Executive collaborates closely with Senior Sales Executives, Product Management, Marketing, and Sales Liaison to ensure seamless execution of sales activities, proper documentation, and timely reporting. Travel is required.

Requirements

  • Basic presentation skills; comfortable speaking with customers at different levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and organize information effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Willingness to learn from senior colleagues and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Computer literate and a good working knowledge of Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Basic proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related fields.
  • minimum 2 years of experience in related field, sales, business development, marketing, or customer-facing roles (internships included).

Nice To Haves

  • Scientific or technical background is a plus when working with regulated or specialized products.
  • Experience in B2B sales or life sciences is preferred but not required.
  • Prior exposure to diagnostics, med-tech, biotech, or pharma is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Market Engagement
  • Proactively identify potential clients through outreach (calls, emails, visits, events, and networking).
  • Schedule introductory meetings and support the qualification of new opportunities.
  • Conduct basic market research to identify trends, competitor movements, and customer needs.
  • Support participation in trade shows, including arranging customer appointments and coordinating logistics.
  • Achieve financial targets assigned through account retention and product penetration in current accounts and expansion to new accounts.
  • Customer Relationship Support
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and identify new opportunities.
  • Act as a first point of contact for routine inquiries, ensuring timely communication and escalation when needed.
  • Support Senior Sales Executives/Management during customer visits, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Sales Operations & Documentation
  • Prepare drafts of proposals, presentations, quotations, and manage sales contracts for internal review.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records of activities, opportunities, and customer interactions.
  • Assist in collecting customer specifications and forwarding documentation to internal teams to facilitate product shipments and support.
  • Prepare basic monthly activity summaries and contribute to forecasting through accurate pipeline updates.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison
  • Collaborate with Product Management to share customer feedback, product requirements, and market insights.
  • Work with Marketing to execute lead-generation initiatives and targeted campaigns.
  • Support internal coordination for product qualification, due diligence, and sample or technical requests.
  • Learning & Professional Development
  • Continuously develop technical and market knowledge.
  • Participate in internal training and shadow senior team members to build negotiation, presentation, and commercial skills.
  • Contribute to team initiatives and support additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
