About The Position

COAST Portland is seeking a motivated, highly organized Junior Sales Coordinator to serve as the operational backbone supporting the Director of Sales across both our growing International distributor network and our B2B Domestic Sales Team. This is a unique, high-visibility role that touches every dimension of the sales organization. From assisting in managing the sales pipeline and distributor communications, to coordinating priorities across four domestic Sales Managers spanning Industrial, Hardware, Auto, Sporting Goods, and Canada. The right candidate will develop a complete picture of the COAST business, reduce coordination friction, and allow the Director of Sales to operate at full strategic capacity rather than managing day-to-day communications and follow-up. This role is an exceptional launchpad for someone looking to build a career in sales operations, international business, or sales leadership within a growing consumer products company.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
  • 0–2 years of experience in sales support, customer service, sales operations, administrative coordination, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint - is required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities calmly and accurately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - you will be representing Director of Sales and the company in correspondence.
  • High attention to detail; errors in pricing, timing, or contact information have real consequences in this role.
  • Proactive and self-directed - able to anticipate what’s needed before being asked.
  • Comfortable working across time zones and with international contacts.
  • Professional, polished, and customer-first in all communications.
  • Collaborative and trustworthy - this role handles sensitive pipeline and relationship information.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior exposure to a manufacturing, distribution, or B2B environment is a plus but not required.
  • Experience supporting a multi-person team or coordinating across departments is highly valued.
  • Experience with CRM software (Monday.com or similar) preferred.
  • Experience with an ERP system (such as Netsuite) is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the communication hub between the Director of Sales and the Domestic Sales Managers.
  • Manage follow up on open items, action logs and inter-team communications.
  • Coordinate cross manager initiatives and priorities.
  • Prepare briefing materials, agendas, summaries of team calls and reviews.
  • Support line review preparation and presentation materials.
  • Coordinate with the Marketing department on behalf of the B2B Sales team on new product launch communications and asset delivery.
  • Work with the Logistics team and Sales Admin team on order status, shipping timelines and lead time updates for the sales team.

  • Maintain a live international pipeline tracker — status, next steps, and ownership — updated in real time.
  • Prepare weekly summary for the Sales Director on open domestic team items and pipeline activity.
  • Prepare pre-show meeting schedules, briefing packs, and post-show follow-up trackers for trade events.
  • Assemble line review presentations, supporting data, and product spec sheets.
  • Track post-launch new product performance across channels and report findings to leadership.
