About The Position

Positions are available at both our Asheville, NC facility or our new satellite office in Charlotte, NC. The Junior Sales Associate will focus on prospecting for new business opportunities, generating qualified leads through cold outreach, and building the sales pipeline. You will work closely with senior sales professionals to identify potential clients, initiate contact, qualify opportunities, and hand off warm leads for closing. This is an ideal position for someone hungry to learn sales fundamentals, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and earn commission potential.

Requirements

  • 2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Education: Associate Degree or 2 years related experience and/or training
  • Understanding of import/export documentation including pack list, commercial invoice, shippers export declaration, airway bill, shippers letter of instruction, tracking, and rates preferred
  • Experience with MRP/ERP preferred
  • Must have solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Basic knowledge of international trade preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter
  • Ability to be organized and multi-task
  • Must be able to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily outbound prospecting via cold calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach, and other channels to generate new leads.
  • Placement of orders
  • Gather and verify job information such as payment method, ship method, artwork, supplies, client accounting needs and delivery date
  • Work extensively with Salesforce to manage daily tasks, enter and update customer information as well as generate customer call sheet, compile and manage design reports and requests
  • Research target accounts and decision-makers to personalize outreach and identify sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities, interactions, and pipeline data in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to follow up on inbound leads and support campaign execution.
  • Overcome initial objections, articulate the company's value proposition, and build rapport with prospects.
  • Track personal performance metrics (e.g., calls, emails sent, meetings booked, conversion rates) and strive to meet or exceed activity and pipeline goals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and product knowledge to effectively engage prospects.
  • Provide feedback on market conditions and lead quality to help refine sales strategies.
