Requirements

2+ years experience in a quality control environment \- preferable automotive related
Extensive experience using quality inspection tools ( Ex. micrometers, dial gauges, fixturing equipment)
Educational background commensurate with job tasks

Responsibilities

Read and understand drawings and specifications to identify key quality characteristics of part design.
Collect and analyze samples to evaluate conformance to specifications.
Install prototype parts on development vehicles to validate fit\finish & function.
Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to stake holders.
Work with other engineers and team members to identify the root cause of non\-conforming materials and possible corrective actions.
Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
As needed, conduct quality based visits to suppliers to ensure developmental and mass production quality.
