About The Position

The Junior Project Manager at Amentum will provide essential support to the U.S. Army at the West Desert Test Center (WDTC) located at Dugway Proving Ground (DPG), UT. This role requires a combination of project management skills and military/emergency response experience. The Junior Project Manager will be responsible for schedule and cost tracking, reporting, and communication with customers. The position involves reviewing CWO requirements, performing technical approaches, and providing technical expertise for the design and execution of training and testing programs. The individual will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in areas critical to testing, training, and problem-solving. Additionally, the role includes the development and management of work breakdown structures and earned value management measurements, as well as the use of basic computer software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university or a combination of project management and military/emergency response experience.
  • Experience in project management, including schedule and cost tracking.
  • Ability to review CWO requirements and perform technical approaches.
  • Experience in developing and managing work breakdown structures and earned value management measurements.
  • Personal and professional interest in military and geospatial technologies.
  • Ability to create Safety Danger Zones (SDZs) and implement SRP standards.
  • Proficiency in preparing professional map products and conducting geospatial analysis.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with various stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with laboratory test equipment such as MTS or Instron Test Frames.
  • Proficiency in generating professional test reports.

Responsibilities

  • Track project schedules and costs, ensuring timely reporting and communication with customers.
  • Review CWO requirements and perform technical approaches for project execution.
  • Provide technical expertise for the design and execution of training and testing programs.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in critical testing and training areas.
  • Develop and manage work breakdown structures and earned value management measurements.
  • Support test and training events using the Range Manager's toolkit (RMTK).
  • Create Safety Danger Zones (SDZs) for live fire events and implement standards for SRP tasks.
  • Prepare professional map products using various map layer combinations and graphics.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with staff, contractors, project management, and DoD clients.
