About The Position

This position is contingent upon successful contract submission and award. Prevailance is seeking an experienced Junior Naval Surface Fire Support (NSFS) Technical Instructor to support classroom and Combat Information Center (CIC) training for Navy formal training programs. This role is ideal for experienced NSFS professionals looking to transition into instruction and curriculum support while continuing to develop technical and instructional expertise. Travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Navy, Marine Corps, or equivalent military instructor certification course
  • 2+ years experience working with Navy training curriculum and instructional materials
  • 2+ years experience as an instructor, including instructional design exposure
  • NSFS team experience aboard a U.S. Navy CG / DDG or prior NSFS instructor experience at EWTGPAC / EWTGLANT
  • Documented experience delivering professional, standardized instruction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to conduct training in shipboard environments, including standing for extended periods
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Possesses and maintain a Secret Clearance

  • Prior assignment at EWTG
  • Completion of EWTGPAC Instructor qualification/certification

Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom and CIC instruction under the guidance of senior instructors and course leadership
  • Support training on non-AEGIS gun weapon systems and associated tools (MK 34/MK 86, MK 160, NFCS, CADRT, MFP, PMP, charts)
  • Assist in evaluating student performance and documenting results in After Instruction Reports (AIRs)
  • Prepare classrooms and CIC labs by setting up equipment, media, references, and student materials
  • Support execution of training evolutions by ensuring proper system configuration and readiness
  • Assist with curriculum updates and maintenance using Navy-authorized authoring tools (e.g., AIM II)
  • Participate in course reviews and provide input for curriculum improvement discussions
  • Learn and apply Navy instructional standards, presentation techniques, and evaluation methods
