About The Position

The Junior Technical Analyst acts as a software developer supporting the maintenance, bug fixing, and enhancement of the systems. They work under the direction of the Project Manager and Senior Technical Analysts.

Requirements

• At least six months to one year of experience in each of the following areas:
• Supporting environmental IT projects in the public sector.
• Client/server or web applications.
• Sybase PowerBuilder and PowerDesigner OR Java/jTAP/AJAX.
• Oracle Databases (developing PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, triggers).
• Atlassian’s JIRA Project Management Software.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with the client systems (NJEMS, RSP, OPRATS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Provide software development expertise for requirements definition and design.
• Develop new or enhanced software components.
• Provide on-call technical support to the clients staff (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday–Friday).
• Monitor Client’s bug-tracking system daily to address verified bugs.
