About The Position

AV is looking for a Modeling and Simulation Engineer. In this position you will execute model-based air and missile defense analysis supporting the MDA Engineering’s Architecture Validation/International team’s joint analysis with international partners. Job Description: Use modeling and simulation tools such as the Extended Air Defense Simulation (EADSIM) to execute system-level air and missile defense modeling on behalf of MDA/DE-CA. Participate in international air and missile defense architecture studies and working group forums with MDA's international partners. Travel, to include international locations, may be required. Present findings to joint forums with MDA and international partners. Participate in planning for model-based studies supporting MDA's objectives in each region.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM field
  • 3+ years of experience with modeling tools supporting defense analysis or trade studies.
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Engineering skills to include familiarity with modeling and simulation tools.
  • Ability to plan for model-based studies supporting MDA's objectives in each region.
  • Ability to execute model-based studies and develop analytical reports and briefings for MDA.
  • Ability to travel, to include international locations, may be required.
  • ITAR Requirement: This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on AeroVironment’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with AeroVironment’s business requirements. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
