About The Position

This full-time position supports the NAVAIR Support Equipment Controlling Authority (SECA) team in Patuxent River, Maryland. The SECA team is responsible for the planning, accounting, and execution of function support for the Naval Air Warfare Centers (NAWC), Fleet Readiness Centers (FRC), FRC WestPac, Integrated Maintenance Program (IMP) sites, Naval Weapons Stations (NWS), and other assigned activities that participate in the Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness List (AMMRL) program. This position helps ensure our nation’s warfighters have what they need to fight and win every day! Note: This job description describes the general nature of the duties and requirements of the job. Requirements

  • AS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or Information from an accredited program.
  • In lieu of an AS degree, successful completion of technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school in computer programming, configuration management operations, or computer systems management.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience performing the stated or similar function
  • In lieu of an AS Degree or successful completion of technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school, a High School diploma or equivalent GED and total of 5 years of work experience performing the stated function.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Familiar with LAMS and SERMIS (SEMS)
  • Candidates should have some Individual Material Readiness List (IMRL)/Support Equipment experience
  • Applicant must be a self-starter, flexible, and team oriented.
  • Must be computer literate and possess strong analytical skills
  • Some travel and/or overtime may be required
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and successfully pass drug screening
  • Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship. Security clearance eligibility may be discussed during the interview phase.
  • Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Support Equipment Controlling Authority (SECA) team.
  • Disposition of support equipment and analysis of current and future requirements.
  • Ensure all allowances for assigned activities are correct and meet mission requirements for current activity missions.
  • Document all allowances for future missions and procurement planning by respective PMAs
