About The Position

The Junior IT Administrator plays a crucial role within the organization, responsible for maintaining and optimizing the IT infrastructure, with specialized expertise in Apple devices, and involves developing and managing IT support systems. The Junior IT Administrator will act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing IT asset inventories, and providing user support under pressure.

Requirements

  • Proven Experience in IT support with a strong background in troubleshooting both hardware and software issues.
  • Expertise in managing and configuring Apple devices.
  • In-depth understanding of IT security protocols and best practices.
  • Ability to develop and manage IT support systems using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with web development languages such as HTML, CSS, and other relevant technologies.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills, capable of effectively communicating with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in managing IT asset inventories and providing actionable reports and recommendations for system enhancements.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; extensive experience may substitute for formal education.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting Hardware: Resolve hardware issues, related to computers and peripherals, with a specialization in Apple devices.
  • Troubleshooting Software: Diagnose and fix software malfunctions to ensure operational efficiency and minimal downtime.
  • User Support: Provide technical support to staff, promoting optimal use of technology while adhering to IT security best practices.
  • Manage a support system and knowledge base using issue-tracking software like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Manage user accounts and access controls, maintaining compliance with IT policies.
  • Implement and monitor IT security measures to protect organizational data and manage network access.
  • Identify and Document Technical issues and resolutions to enhance future troubleshooting efforts.
  • Training: Train users on specific technologies and systems as needed, advocating for IT proficiency and security awareness.
  • Inventory: Manage inventory and logs of IT assets, providing regular reports on their status and making recommendations for improvements based on current trends and needs.
  • Manage IT equipment set-up for meetings, conferences, retreats, and general office space.
  • Collaborate with the IT team on project execution and respond promptly to IT emergencies.
  • Liaise with IT Service Vendor in a co-manage relationship to escalate issues
