The junior graphic designer position is responsible for creating and maintaining design, as directed, to increase sales and profitability. The employee will work with members of the graphic design department, sales, sales support and others, to ensure continuity in the client’s marketing message. This role adheres to and promotes UpSwell’s company values by performing respective duties in a manner that supports and contributes to the achievement of UpSwell’s company goals.

  • Associate’s degree in graphic design or related field
  • Experience organizing and maintaining files

Nice To Haves

  • Three years of experience as a desktop publisher using InDesign, illustrator and Photoshop
  • Direct mail advertising

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain design, primarily postcards and other marketing collateral material, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Import and size images, apply style sheets, typeset copy and make proofing corrections while working within set templates and documents provided by the Management Team.
  • Ensure communication is frequent and bi-directional with marketing consultants, especially as it relates to providing campaign updates and progress.
  • Support the graphics supervisor with production design.
  • Maintain the marketing materials library.
  • File all materials in a logical and easily accessible manner. Ensure they are continuously up to date.
  • Complete all tasks within expected deadlines.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments, as required
