About The Position

Cresco Labs is seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our growing in-house creative team, The HotBox, in Chicago, IL. The HotBox leads B2B and B2C creative across key channels including In-Store, Ecommerce, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Rewards, Social, and Internal Initiatives. The Junior Graphic Designer supports the execution of a variety of print and digital deliverables for both retail and wholesale brands. Responsibilities include assisting in the development of web assets, email campaigns, social media, in-store signage, sales materials, event graphics, internal communications, and branded merchandise. This role focuses on building strong foundational design skills while ensuring brand consistency and attention to detail across all touchpoints. In this position, you will collaborate closely with members of the design team to support creative initiatives that strengthen Cresco’s national presence. The Junior Graphic Designer reports to a Mid-Level Graphic Designer and works in partnership with Senior Designers and Design leadership to grow technical expertise and creative confidence.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years professional design experience (in-house or agency).
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong foundational design skills.
  • Solid understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Familiarity with designing for print and digital channels.
  • Strong understanding of typography, color, hierarchy, and layout fundamentals.
  • Basic understanding of production standards and building files to spec.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction.
  • Effective communication skills; able to explain design decisions when prompted.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for the cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

  • Execute print and digital design assignments under direction from design leadership.
  • Translate briefs into visual layouts aligned with established brand guidelines.
  • Adapt existing creative into multiple sizes, formats, and state versions.
  • Prepare production-ready files following established specifications.
  • Implement requested revisions accurately throughout the review process.
  • Manage assigned projects within defined timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners as needed to gather required assets.
  • Maintain attention to detail and ensure brand consistency.
  • Stay current on design trends and tools to continue developing skill set.
