About The Position

Hart & Hickman, PC (H&H) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Professional to join our new Greenville, SC office. Our current Greenville team includes seasoned environmental professionals with decades of combined experience, and we are excited to continue growing our team in 2026. This is an opportunity to play a key role in establishing and expanding H&H’s presence in the Upstate while working alongside a collaborative and supportive team. About H&H H&H is an established and growing environmental consulting firm with a reputation for technical excellence, integrity, and client service. We are intentional about developing our staff through hands-on experience, mentorship, and structured training. To build on the reputation of our Charlotte and Raleigh offices and become a go-to environmental consulting firm for solving challenging problems in the Carolinas, H&H opened the Greenville office in October 2025. The Opportunity This position is ideal for someone with a solid background in Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) who enjoys a mix of office and field work. As part of our Greenville office launch, you will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully from day one - supporting due diligence efforts, brownfields redevelopment, and site assessment and remediation projects throughout the region. We are seeking candidates with approximately 2 to 5 years of experience, particularly with Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, and field sampling. What We’re Looking For Successful candidates will demonstrate: Strong working knowledge of ASTM Phase I ESA standards Experience conducting site reconnaissance and preparing Phase I reports Ability to manage multiple due diligence projects with attention to detail and deadlines Diverse field experience including soil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion assessment Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills Critical thinking when evaluating analytical data or making field decisions A desire to contribute to a growing office and collaborate across disciplines A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, geology, or environmental science Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel Willingness for periodic overnight travel (predominately in the southeast) for fieldwork Why Join H&H Greenville? Responsibilities

  • Conducting and preparing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
  • Performing site reconnaissance and regulatory review
  • Coordinating and supporting Phase II investigations
  • Collecting soil, groundwater, vapor, and indoor air samples
  • Assisting with remediation oversight and performance monitoring
  • Interpreting field and laboratory data
  • Preparing technical reports, proposals, and client deliverables
