Build your legacy at TTL Environmental Professional (mid to senior level) - Tuscaloosa, Alabama We are seeking a mid-level to senior Environmental Professional to support our Alabama operations, with a strong focus on construction stormwater compliance including plan development, permitting, and inspections. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience navigating Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) regulations and implementing effective stormwater compliance strategies on active construction sites. Qualification as a Qualified Credentialed Professional (QCP) is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field; M.S. preferred
  • Professional licensure required or eligible for reciprocity (PE preferred)
  • 5-10+ years experience
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Experience with linear infrastructure or large, complex construction projects.
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage permitting efforts under ADEM’s NPDES Construction General Permits and related programs.
  • Support erosion and sediment control design and BMP selection for a variety of project types include large, complex, and linear corridor projects.
  • Conduct and oversee routine construction stormwater inspections and compliance reporting.
  • Provide corrective action recommendations and BMP solutions in active construction settings.
  • Coordinate with contractors, developers, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams.
  • Prepare detailed reports, including technical data, findings, and recommendations for clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Support TTL’s complementary environmental services.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable environmental regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
