About The Position

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented junior analyst to join our distressed credit team. This role will be crucial in maintaining and expanding our restructuring data offering, ensuring its accuracy and utility for our clients. You will be responsible for the end-to-end process of data management, from overseeing data entry to producing insightful analysis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong analytical mindset and an interest in the distressed and restructuring landscape.

Requirements

  • You have a demonstrable interest in the distressed debt and restructuring markets and are keen to develop your knowledge in this dynamic space
  • You possess exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data accuracy
  • You are highly organised and able to manage your workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
  • You have strong communication skills and are comfortable collaborating with different teams across the organisation

  • You are eager to learn and contribute to the growth and development of our data products

Responsibilities

  • Produce research, analysis, presentations and articles using our proprietary restructuring data to support our news and analytics offerings for our clients
  • Oversee the data entry and data quality processes for the 9fin restructuring tracker, ensuring comprehensive and accurate coverage of restructuring events across the market
  • Coordinate and oversee 9fin's restructuring league table process, ensuring timely and accurate publication
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders including research, editorial and product teams to generate ideas for new data fields and data products, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of our restructuring data
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of our restructuring data, proactively identifying and resolving data discrepancies
  • Contribute to projects aimed at improving data collection methodologies and enhancing the overall quality and efficiency of our data operations
