About The Position

We are seeking a Junior developer for enhancement and maintenance of one or more Insurance modules or components of an agile scrum team. Provide engineering troubleshooting assistance to customer support teams and other development teams.

Requirements

  • Strong programming and scripting background in languages such as Java, Spring framework, C#, .NET framework, React etc.
  • N-tier application architecture
  • Strong background in multiple disciplines with an engineering mindset
  • Exposure to Snowflake or Databricks data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience working in an agile environment and familiar with various SDLC models including Scrum, Kanban, etc. Familiar with tools like Jira.
  • Familiarity with all elements of applications structures, including Front End, Back End, Networking etc.
  • Demonstrated problem solving abilities.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and toolsets.
  • BS+ education in CS or related fields
  • Preferably strong development experience with minimum of 1- 3 years of coding experience in C#, Java.
  • Hands-on experience in design/coding/code review.
  • Experienced with various technologies, self-motivated, a fast learner, and have a "get things done" mentality.
  • Excellent communication skills and time-management skills are welcome

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of react JS is a plus
  • Preference to have some knowledge of Financial Market domain (Derivatives, Equities, Fixed Income Mathematics, various asset classes and their characteristics).

Responsibilities

  • Development activities include development, participating in design, review, coding, and implementation
  • Identify issues and implement solutions to complex problems and solve difficult problems across various applications.
  • Familiar with Azure cloud technology and cloud deployment.
  • Work closely with product owners to guide the overall application design
  • Management of documentation of all code and functionalities implemented
  • Facilitate the integration of different platforms and applications
  • Work closely with DevOps and engineers to improve tech stack for long-term engineering initiatives
