Junior Data Analyst

The company is seeking a detail-oriented junior data analyst to support data operations through report generation and quality assurance. This entry-level role primarily involves working with Tableau and Excel to run regular reports, perform data quality checks, and prepare data for analysis. The successful candidate will also learn querying techniques under the guidance of senior team members. The position requires a keen eye for detail, strong time management, comfort with data, adherence to processes, and the ability to identify inconsistencies. The analyst must manage multiple reporting deadlines, take initiative, and work effectively both independently and collaboratively. No prior professional experience is required, only a genuine interest in data analysis, accuracy, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Economics, or similar) or equivalent experience
- Prior use of Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and basic data manipulation
- Familiarity with Tableau or similar data visualization tools (academic or personal projects acceptable)
- Willingness to learn SQL and database querying techniques
- Strong attention to detail with ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in data
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines
- Basic analytical and problem-solving abilities with eagerness to develop these skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with team members
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures accurately
- Comfortable working both independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively in a team setting
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward learning new tools and techniques
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and handle changing priorities

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Run reports using Excel and Tableau based on established templates
- Assist senior analysts in preparing client-facing reports and presentations
- Learn to extract data from various sources and begin training on SQL querying
- Perform routine quality checks to identify errors, inconsistencies, and missing information
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of data in all assigned reports and dashboards
- Document and report data discrepancies to senior team members for resolution
- Support the team in updating existing dashboards and visualizations in Tableau
- Follow department processes for tracking work, managing deadlines, and documentation
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs
- Assist with ad-hoc data requests and special projects as assigned
