About The Position

The Junior Data Analyst responsibilities will include supporting dashboards, KPI scorecards, and recurring performance reporting for teams across the organization. The Junior Data Analyst will collect, clean, validate, and standardize data from multiple sources; maintain consistent metric definitions and documentation; and serve as a hub of communication across stakeholders to ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and trusted. This role will also help identify data quality issues, document processes, and provide service-oriented support so leaders can make clear, data-informed decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Statistics, Information Systems, Data/Computer-related field, or similar (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 0–2 years of experience in analytics, reporting, operations, research, or related work (internships, academic projects, and relevant part-time work count).
  • Data cleaning & validation
  • Process documentation & reporting
  • Cross-functional coordination & stakeholder communications
  • Inclusive, service-oriented collaboration
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas, charts).
  • Comfort working with recurring reporting timelines and maintaining high accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • While not required, Google Data Analytics Certificate, Microsoft PL-300 (Power BI), Tableau Desktop Specialist, or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support KPI dashboards and reporting cadence (weekly/monthly/quarterly): refresh datasets, update dashboard views, and deliver recurring KPI outputs on schedule.
  • Maintain KPI definitions and “single source of truth” logic: partner with stakeholders to confirm metric calculations, targets, filters, and business rules; ensure consistent usage across teams.
  • Perform data cleaning and validation: identify missing, inconsistent, duplicate, or outlier values; apply repeatable fixes; and escalate systemic issues with clear evidence.
  • Monitor data quality and reporting integrity: run routine QA checks, reconcile totals across sources, investigate anomalies, and document findings and resolutions.
  • Document reporting processes and data lineage: maintain clear documentation for data sources, refresh schedules, field definitions, assumptions, and dashboard change logs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional reporting requests: translate stakeholder questions into measurable metrics, clarify requirements, and communicate progress, risks, and limitations in plain language.
  • Create and maintain standard reports and summaries: produce stakeholder-ready tables, charts, and written highlights that explain trends and drivers (not just numbers).
  • Support reporting tool upkeep: assist with light dashboard maintenance in a BI tool (e.g., Tableau/Power BI/Looker Studio) and/or basic SQL querying as needed, while following governance and access policies.
