About The Position

Dynamis is seeking a Junior Criminal Analyst to provide analytical support to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP). SEVP’s mission falls within the overall ICE mission to promote homeland security and public safety through the criminal and civil enforcement of federal law governing border control, customs, trade, and immigration. SEVP provides integrity to the U.S. immigration system by collecting, maintaining, and analyzing information so only legitimate nonimmigrant students or exchange visitors gain entry into the United States. The Analyst’s role is to provide support to adjudication and compliance services across a dynamic workspace and an understanding on how to work effectively in an energetic working environment to ensure that various tasks are met in an effective and timely manner.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain ICE suitability (current ICE or DHS suitability is preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of research related experience
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing abilities.
  • Attention to detail, often on limited timelines.
  • Knowledge in the use of Microsoft suite of programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Candidates must be well organized; team focused and possess critical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with unique DHS, DOS and open-source systems and databases.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and transmitting acknowledgment of receipt notices and correspondence to educational institutions and other relevant entities
  • Conducting research across government and open-source databases to identify indicators of potential fraud or misrepresentation
  • Performing comprehensive reviews of petition packages to verify the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of submitted information
  • Rendering adjudicative determinations on petition packages, including acceptance or rejection based on established criteria
  • Generating and maintaining dashboard reports to support operational oversight and performance tracking
  • Verifying information pertaining to nonimmigrant students and their associated educational institutions in accordance with program requirements
  • Maintaining and updating SharePoint sites with current data relevant to nonimmigrant students and affiliated educational institutions
  • Drafting and issuing Requests for Evidence (RFEs) to obtain additional documentation necessary for adjudicative review
  • Providing operational support to SEVP and ICE in the execution of compliance reviews and law enforcement actions against petitioning and approved institutions and individuals.
