About The Position

The Junior Controller will support financial operations for the High Bridge site, contributing to accurate reporting, operational support, and adherence to internal controls. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small‑company environment, manages multiple responsibilities, and demonstrates adaptability across various accounting systems, including AS400 and SAP.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or small‑company environment where role flexibility is essential.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP + IFRS and core accounting functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple accounting systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt quickly, and work in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general accounting activities including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Support monthly close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reported results.
  • Assist with preparation of internal financial statements and management financial packages.
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts monthly, ensuring discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Review and process vendor invoices, including reconciliation of vendor accounts and purchase clearing accounts.
  • Monitor payment schedules and ensure timely disbursements.
  • Manage winddown of legacy AR collections.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits, including commentary, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure internal controls are followed and assist in documenting improvements to drive efficiency.
  • Act as a trusting accounting partner to site leadership, providing insight and helping drive decision-making.
  • Collaborate with P&O, Operations, Purchasing, and other departments as needed to ensure integrated financial processes and data accuracy.
