About The Position

Turnstone Custom Homes is a trusted design-build firm serving Delaware's Eastern Shore, specializing in custom homes and residential renovations. For more than 20 years, we've delivered projects defined by craftsmanship, attention to detail, and strong client relationships. We're looking for a motivated construction professional ready to step into a key supporting role on our project management team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to expand their experience, take on more responsibility, and grow within a collaborative, high-performing environment. As a Junior Construction Project Manager, you'll assist in coordinating and managing residential construction projects from planning through completion. You'll work closely with Project Managers, field teams, and clients to help ensure projects stay on track, on budget, and aligned with quality expectations.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in construction or project coordination, ideally in residential building
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as CoConstruct, Bluebeam, or similar platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (training available for other tools)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to responsibilities
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the Sussex County area

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of multiple custom home projects from start to finish
  • Assist Project Managers and superintendents with daily coordination of job site activities
  • Maintain schedules, track progress, and update project documentation using CoConstruct
  • Help manage budgets, timelines, and project deliverables
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and maintain expectations
  • Identify and help resolve issues to keep projects moving forward
  • Promote a clean, safe, and organized job site in line with company standards
