About The Position

The Junior Buyer will support the Procurement Manager daily. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates looking to gain hands-on procurement and purchasing experience within a multi‑billion‑dollar organization. The role supports purchasing and management teams through a variety of administrative and operational tasks, including processing invoices, matching purchase orders and quotes, obtaining approvals, and coordinating with Accounts Payable. Responsibilities also include maintaining vendor and user records, managing files and databases, and serving as a point of contact for field inquiries. Ideal for detail‑oriented candidates eager to build foundational experience in procurement operations while working in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of supply chain experience
  • At least 2 years of experience using Microsoft Excel, including creating and updating spreadsheets.
  • Proficiency in data entry with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Complete administrative tasks and projects as requested to support management staff. Performs with minimum supervision.
  • Process Invoices: Prepare vouchers and ensure accuracy of amounts by matching purchase orders and quotes. Obtain necessary approvals and forward to A/P.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain users lists for all vendors
  • Field Correspondence: Handle all inquiries from field and provide guidance and direction as needed.
  • File Management: Maintain files and databases.
  • Other Administrative Duties: Perform various administrative functions including handling of mail, faxes, and telephone calls. Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
