About The Position

The Junior Business Analyst supports the firm’s legal and operations teams by assisting in the translation of business and legal needs into documented requirements, analytics, and process improvements. This entry‑level role acts as a support bridge between legal staff, operational leaders, technology, and finance while gaining hands-on experience with system integrations, automation initiatives, and legal operations workflows. This position is well suited for a detail‑oriented individual early in their career who is interested in business analysis, legal operations, or process improvement within a law firm environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, legal studies, finance, or a related field (or equivalent entry-level experience) preferred but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to document processes clearly and accurately
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Internship or entry-level experience in business analysis, legal operations, financial services, or a law firm environment
  • Exposure to process mapping, requirements gathering, or data analysis
  • Familiarity with dashboards, reporting tools, or case management systems

Responsibilities

  • Assist operations manager and stakeholders in gathering business and legal requirements through discovery sessions, document review, and basic process analysis
  • Help document workflows, procedures, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes for the Operations Development team
  • Support the collection, organization, and validation of data used for dashboards, reports, and real-time operational analytics
  • Assist in translating business and legal needs into functional requirements and basic technical specifications
  • Review information from multiple sources and help break down high-level requests into detailed, actionable requirements
  • Maintain organized documentation for firm-wide initiatives, integrations, and automation projects
  • Assist in creating user guides, job aids, and training materials
  • Participate in quality assurance (QA) and user acceptance testing (UAT) by executing test cases, validating results, and documenting issues
  • Provide basic end-user support and assistance following system or process changes
  • Identify issues, document findings, and escalate concerns to senior team members for resolution
  • Perform other duties as assigned
