About The Position

Our client is looking to hire a Junior Automation Specialist to join their Technical SEO team, supporting backend automations and system integrations. The role focuses on ensuring APIs, automated workflows, and data processes operate reliably, meet security standards, and align with broader business and SEO objectives. The successful candidate will contribute to building scalable automation solutions that support SEO data handling, content distribution, and AI-driven workflow improvements.

Requirements

Experience in development, automation, and workflow integrations.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript for building custom automations.
Strong understanding of API integrations, particularly RESTful APIs used by SEO platforms for data extraction and processing.
Experience working with databases such as BigQuery, MySQL, or MongoDB for automated data storage and management.
Familiarity with WordPress APIs and plugins supporting automated content publishing.

Nice To Haves

Experience using automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or Make.com for workflow creation.
Hands-on experience with SEO-related APIs such as DataForSEO, PageSpeed Insights, or Google Search Console APIs.
Exposure to AI tools used within automation workflows, including integration of LLM models such as Gemini, Claude, or Grok.
Understanding of DevOps practices related to workflow deployment, including CI/CD pipelines or containerisation.
Experience managing large-scale data collection or programmatic SEO publishing.
Solid understanding of SEO principles and data-driven optimisation approaches.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve automated workflows for SEO data handling and content distribution, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
Build and maintain API connections across multiple SEO platforms to enable real-time data collection, storage, and processing.
Support SEO initiatives through automation of structured data feeds, content optimisation processes, and publishing pipelines.
Maintain workflow reliability through diagnostics, updates, and ongoing performance monitoring.
Collaborate with SEO and content teams to enhance workflows with features such as automated metadata generation and real-time performance insights.
Integrate AI-driven components into workflows to improve automation efficiency and technical SEO capabilities.
Stay informed on emerging automation technologies and recommend improvements to workflow design and implementation.
Design and implement automated workflows using platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or similar tools to connect SEO APIs for keyword research, backlink analysis, and performance tracking.
Automate data storage and management processes within databases such as BigQuery or MySQL, including schema design to support efficient querying and SEO data versioning.
Build automated publishing pipelines for WordPress, enabling dynamic page generation, metadata insertion, and scheduled publishing across multiple websites.
Optimise workflows for scalability, managing high-volume API data collection while ensuring smooth integration with content management systems.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain automated processes, including performance optimisation and issue resolution within API integrations and data flows.
Support the development of AI-enhanced workflows, including automation for SEO analytics and content optimisation.
