About The Position

This is an ideal post-bar / early-career role for an attorney who wants to build a litigation career on the plaintiff side. You’ll join a nationally respected plaintiff-side firm as it launches and grows its wage-and-hour and employment class action practice in Washington. You’ll gain real, hands-on exposure to state and federal litigation against regional, national, and Fortune 500 employers—while receiving strong training, mentorship, and support from experienced class action litigators. As a Junior Associate Attorney, you’ll support active wage-and-hour, employment, and consumer class and representative actions in Washington courts. This role is designed to help you grow quickly from post-bar responsibilities into a full litigation associate through structured guidance and increasing responsibility.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington OR actively awaiting WA Bar results/admission
  • Genuine interest in plaintiff-side employment, wage-and-hour, and class action litigation
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills with close attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to work on-site full-time in Seattle
  • Stable work history is preferred; for newly licensed attorneys, academic, clinic, clerkship, or internship continuity will be considered in lieu of full professional tenure

Nice To Haves

  • 0–2 years of civil litigation experience
  • Exposure to discovery, motion practice, oral advocacy, or court appearances through internships, clinics, externships, or clerkships
  • Positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic

Responsibilities

  • Support employment, wage-and-hour, and consumer class and representative actions in Washington state and federal courts
  • Draft complaints, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses under attorney supervision
  • Assist with written and document discovery, including document review, organization, and deposition preparation
  • Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law and prepare written analyses for senior attorneys
  • Participate in motion practice, oral advocacy, and court appearances as experience and responsibility increase
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to manage deadlines and case workflow
  • Communicate professionally with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel as directed
  • Travel occasionally within Washington for hearings, depositions, or case-related needs
