About The Position

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Junior Architect to work out of the Arlington, VA office. As part of our Federal Programs Team, you will support projects for the US Postal Service and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients’ objectives and solves their challenges. Your Impact Perform a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard architectural techniques for small projects to large projects. Exercise independent judgement in some areas evaluating, selecting and applying standard architectural design techniques, procedures and criteria to make design adaptations and modifications. Assist with the preparation of design documents, reports and related project documents using REVIT and other applicable software. Completes designs for applicable project; prepares architectural working drawings and related project documents. Prepares project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data. Conducts site and construction inspections gathering information, compiling reports for management. May assist in development of proposals. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
  • 1-3 years of related design experience.
  • The ability to travel to project or client sites, as needed.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD 3D, REVIT, SketchUp, Lumion, VRay, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Rhino.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters degree in Architecture.
  • Architectural license.
