About The Position

Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Analyst for a specialist team within the Strategic Advisory business focused on shareholder engagement, corporate governance, and investor relations in New York, NY. Primary Responsibilities: The Strategic Shareholder Advisory Analyst will provide value-add analysis and research as part of a specialist team within the Strategic Advisory business. In this role, the Analyst will create client presentations regarding shareholder engagement, corporate governance and sustainability practices, and track related trends and best practices. The Analyst will help drive corporate governance and shareholder engagement projects, and create related materials for use in client presentations, internal meetings and marketing initiatives. The Analyst will work in a team environment within Evercore’s Activism and Raid Defense practice. Specific Qualifications: The candidate will be ambitious, self-directed, creative, entrepreneurial and resourceful. The candidate will be passionately interested in shareholder dynamics and corporate governance, and intellectually curious and eager to learn. The candidate will be academically accomplished with the ability to multitask and think strategically. Qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:

Requirements

  • 1 year or less of relevant work experience (junior analyst preferred)
  • An excellent, team-based attitude
  • Relentless work ethic and high energy level
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Calm under pressure with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Intellectual curiosity and an interest in finance and corporate governance
