About The Position

King Energy is a category-defining leader in multi-tenant commercial solar, recognized as one of Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies in 2026. Since its founding in 2020, the company has rapidly grown into a profitable, fast-scaling platform, doubling growth year-over-year, with over 250 energy programs across 30 million square feet of commercial and industrial real estate nationwide. Backed by over $46 million in venture capital and $300 million in project finance, King Energy is well-positioned for continued growth. Its award-winning software, OneBill, has successfully aligned incentives across property owners and tenants, enabling a repeatable, scalable model with national customers like Dollar Tree, Ross, US Bank, and numerous bluechip REITs. The Junior Analyst on the Asset Management team will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and financial accuracy of this portfolio of 250+ solar programs. This role involves meticulously catching discrepancies in monthly reports, addressing missed maintenance windows by contractors, and cleaning up Salesforce workflows to prevent billing errors and operational inefficiencies. The successful candidate will own recurring reporting in Excel, collaborate on automation initiatives using Salesforce and Claude, and manage operations and maintenance relationships with EPC firms and property managers. Reporting to the Head of Asset Management, this individual will be the second member of the team and will also work closely with cross-functional partners in Operations, Finance, and the field. Success in the first year is defined by timely and accurate reports, an improved Salesforce instance, and positive working relationships with contractors and property managers, paving the way for advanced analytical and asset management opportunities.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience post university, ideally in an operations, finance, or analytical role.
  • Owned recurring work and learned to ship on a deadline.
  • Detail obsessive who catches the missing decimal, the wrong tab reference, and the broken link before anyone else does.
  • Strong Excel user who can run and clean up a monthly production report, reconcile inconsistencies across data sources, pull insights out of the numbers, and turn those insights into a clear list of things to do next.
  • Working Salesforce user who is comfortable navigating records, building reports, and keeping data clean.
  • Self-starter with clear written communication, genuine curiosity, and the kind of ownership that makes ambiguous work feel interesting rather than intimidating.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on project management experience, formal or scrappy, where you owned timelines and herded stakeholders toward a deadline.
  • A degree or background in finance, economics, engineering, or another quantitative field where you built real comfort with data and modeling.
  • Genuine interest in solar, clean energy, or commercial real estate, and any prior exposure to asset management.
  • Working knowledge of AI automation and a willingness to use tools like Claude to make repetitive work faster.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure nothing quietly slips through the cracks across a portfolio of 250+ solar programs.

  • Own recurring reporting in Excel.
  • Partner on automation work in Salesforce and Claude.
  • Help manage the operations and maintenance relationships with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms and property managers.
  • Make contractors and property managers' lives easier.
