About The Position

King Energy is the category defining leader in multi-tenant commercial solar, recognized for its innovative approach to deploying solar at scale on large commercial buildings. Founded in 2020, the company has rapidly grown into a profitable, fast-scaling platform, doubling growth year-over-year. It currently manages over 250 energy programs across 30 million square feet of commercial and industrial real estate nationwide. With over $46 million in venture capital and over $300 million in project finance, King Energy is well-financed and positioned for continued growth. The company's award-winning software, OneBill, has solved key structural problems in the market by aligning incentives across property owners and tenants, creating a repeatable and scalable model with national customers like Dollar Tree, Ross, US Bank, and numerous bluechip REITs. This business model combines strong unit economics, institutional backing, and rapid national deployment, placing King Energy at the forefront of distributed energy infrastructure in the United States. As a Junior Analyst on the Asset Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and preventing issues across the portfolio of 250+ solar programs. This includes meticulously checking monthly reports, addressing contractor missed maintenance windows, and cleaning up Salesforce workflows to ensure accurate numbers. Your role is critical to prevent billing confusion for tenants, maintain positive relationships with property managers, and ensure the assets remain profitable. You will own recurring reporting in Excel, partner on automation work in Salesforce and Claude, and help manage the operations and maintenance relationships with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms and property managers. You will report to the Head of Asset Management and work closely with cross-functional partners in Operations, Finance, and the field. Success in the first year involves delivering timely and accurate reports, improving the Salesforce instance, and fostering strong working relationships with contractors and property managers, which will open paths to bigger analytical and asset management work.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience post university, ideally in an operations, finance, or analytical role where you owned recurring work and learned to ship on a deadline.
  • Detail obsessive who catches the missing decimal, the wrong tab reference, and the broken link before anyone else does.
  • Strong Excel user who can run and clean up a monthly production report, reconcile inconsistencies across data sources, pull insights out of the numbers, and turn those insights into a clear list of things to do next.
  • Working Salesforce user who is comfortable navigating records, building reports, and keeping data clean.
  • Self-starter with clear written communication, genuine curiosity, and the kind of ownership that makes ambiguous work feel interesting rather than intimidating.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on project management experience, formal or scrappy, where you owned timelines and herded stakeholders toward a deadline.
  • A degree or background in finance, economics, engineering, or another quantitative field where you built real comfort with data and modeling.
  • Genuine interest in solar, clean energy, or commercial real estate, and any prior exposure to asset management.
  • Working knowledge of AI automation and a willingness to use tools like Claude to make repetitive work faster.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure nothing quietly slips through the cracks across a portfolio of 250+ solar programs.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies in monthly reports (e.g., when a monthly report is off by a decimal).
  • Address instances where a contractor misses a maintenance window.
  • Clean up Salesforce workflows before the numbers roll up.
  • Own recurring reporting in Excel.
  • Partner on automation work in Salesforce and Claude.
  • Help manage the operations and maintenance relationships with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms and property managers that keep assets running.
  • Ensure reports go out on time without drama.
  • Contribute to a cleaner Salesforce instance than you found.
  • Cultivate relationships with contractors and property managers to make their lives easier.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary
  • Participation in King Energy stock option program
  • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k)
  • Unlimited PTO
  • 9/80 flexible work arrangement with alternating three-day weekends
