We are looking for a detail-oriented Aerospace Engineer to support production and quality processes on the shop floor. You will manage nonconformities, provide technical guidance, and drive continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field required
  • Shopfloor experience in manufacturing environments, preferably aerospace/aircraft.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and manufacturing engineering processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage nonconformities (NCs), including part rejection, scrap, rework, and concession handling.
  • Create and maintain SAP records (S03, S99) for quality and production tracking.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Instructions (SOIs) and Routine Verification Plans (RVPs).
  • Handle Quality Log Book (QLB) entries related to customer findings.
  • Develop and implement tooling and process improvements based on production needs.
  • Create Communication Sheets to document findings for SAP and follow-up by MRP controllers.
  • Provide technical support to production and quality teams (e.g., part numbers, drawings, processes, torque values, sealants).
  • Collaborate with back-office teams to support manufacturing engineering upstream activities.
  • Maintain flexibility to work 1st shift (5:30 AM–2:00 PM) or 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM).
  • Actively contribute to problem-solving, process improvements, and proactive quality initiatives.
