Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Junior Aeronautical Engineer to join our team in King of Prussia, PA! As an Aeronautical Engineer with the Strategic Reentry Programs Aerothermal team team you will provide support to various missile programs. You will support multiple team’s performance related to the modeling and simulation of hypersonic flight vehicles. You will work in a small, fast moving team on concept-level vehicle analysis, study of hypersonic aerodynamics, as well as the design of proposed experimental hardware and instrumentation. In this role, you will perform complex Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) calculations and manipulate CFD data.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Fluid Dynamics and/or Thermodynamics
  • Matlab or other programming language experience
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance; must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • BS degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or similar Engineering Degree from accredited school
  • Familiar with Computational Fluid Dynamic solvers including CFD++, US3D, CART3D
  • Familiar with with Wind Tunnel Testing
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
