What You Will Do As Junior Accountant you’ll support the Accounting Manager across the full accounting cycle, contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of day-to-day financial operations. This role includes data entry, financial statement review, and building and maintaining Excel spreadsheets to support reporting and analysis. As a key member of the team, you’ll help ensure processes run smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of recent and relevant accounting experience
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel are essential with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets, analyzing large data sets and using advanced functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and IF statements.
  • Experience in customer billing with attention to pricing, freight and posting customer payments.
  • Accounts Payable experience in the full A/P cycle from PO creation to cutting a check.
  • Accounts Receivable billing in a manufacturing environment, cost accounting experience desired.
  • Strong prioritizing and time management skills.
  • High-level organizational skills with accuracy.
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pound banker’s boxes.

Responsibilities

  • Compose monthly journal entries with minimal supervision.
  • Perform general ledger (G/L) account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Post Accounts Payable (A/P) vendor invoices.
  • Post Purchase Order receipts and invoices.
  • File customer invoices and vendor invoices.
  • Adhere to internal controls and ensure accounting procedures comply with GAAP.
  • Prepare Accounts Payable (A/P) vendor payments weekly.
  • Physical inventory reconciliation, assist in physical counts when needed.
  • Record sales from all e-commerce portals, DoorDash, Shopify, & Healthy Goodness.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls to the Accounting Department and main office line as needed.
  • Communicate with customers to answer questions, take orders, and address complaints as needed.
  • Gather Bill of Lading (BOL) and Pick Sheets to post Accounts Receivable (A/R) customer invoices.
  • Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested.
  • All other duties as assigned.
