We might be a perfect fit for you! Position Summary: The Junior Accountant supports accounting operations by performing accounting functions. Provides backup in processing Payroll and Accounts Payable. Performs general accounting functions as assigned. May provide administrative clerical support to the CFO and CEO as needed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) required.
  • Two years’ experience in accounting or finance required.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and foundation of internal controls.
  • Experience gained in a healthcare business environment preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and posting journal entries and reconcile corresponding accounts
  • Provide support to Controller and / or designee during annual audit and as assigned
  • Provide backup in processing payroll, accounts payable and other designated expenses as assigned
  • Assist in the reconciliation of bank accounts and employee expense accounts on a monthly basis
  • Assist executive management with specific requests, when applicable
  • Assist Controller and / or designee with staff training, upon request.
