About The Position

Junior Accountant Red Coats Inc. is a privately held company founded over 60 years ago based in Bethesda, Maryland. We specialize in providing commercial office cleaning services to a myriad of customers. We have established ourselves as a results-oriented, customer-focused company, and now have multiple offices in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, California, and Texas. As we continue to grow, we are seeking to hire a dynamic and motivated Junior Accountant who will be responsible for supporting the our accounting team with month end and year end procedures and processes.

Requirements

Associate or bachelor’s degree with Accounting and/or Finance focus preferred
1+ years of experience in Corporate Accounting to include GL and payroll.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, as evidenced by preparing reports and preparing and presenting information to clients.
MUST HAVE general ledger experience
Ability to meet assigned deadlines, working in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from the manager to accomplish objectives.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook and Excel)
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results.
In-person position - M-F. Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for payroll, operating and investment accounts.
Prepare and reconcile accounts receivable reconciliations.
Assist with other balance sheet accounts
Prepare and post journal entries.
Prepare, distribute and upload credit card reconciliations.
Assist with reviewing and approving expenses.
Assist with other accounting projects as needed
