Summary of Responsibility: The Junior Accountant is an entry-level, responsible for supporting core accounting functions, including account reconciliations, month-end close activities, sales tax filings, commission reporting, and ad hoc financial reporting. This position assists with audits, responds to inquiries from internal and offsite teams, and performs general administrative accounting tasks as needed. The role is developmental in nature, with responsibilities expanding as skills and experience grow, while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of accounting experience
  • Comfort in Microsoft Suite programs (VLOOKUP capability is a must)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and organization
  • Strong attention to detail and superior team works skills are a must

Responsibilities

  • Monthly/weekly reconciliations (Ex. Customer Deposits, Cash, Inventory, intercompany, etc.)
  • Supporting the month end close process (pre-close checks/balances, assist with module close, post-close financial reporting etc.)
  • Help with filing monthly sales tax returns
  • Dropship inventory review
  • Assist with monthly sales commission statements (80+ salesman)
  • Monthly recurring journal entries
  • Assisting with annual audits (Bank, Fiscal, and Tax)
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Preform all other related duties as assigned to support the finance department – This is a developmental role.
  • Adhering to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes
  • Perform related duties as required
