The Junior Account Manager reports to the Business Unit Manager and is responsible for supporting the Account Manager’s responsibilities with the expectation that the Junior Account Manager will become proficient and be promoted to the role of Account Manager or similar. The Junior Account Manager is responsible for assisting the Account Manager in the development, promotion, sales, and profitability of a customer’s product line of diesel engines and/or engine components. This position will assist in the development of the annual strategic plan along with sales and gross margin dollar goals. Building strong customer relationships, including knowing them on a first name basis is key for this position. In addition, this position is accountable to provide input on promotions, pricing levels, and new product development and must develop the competitor knowledge base covering their product offerings, pricing, strengths, and weaknesses.
