About The Position

The Juicer is a key member of our Culinary Department, primarily responsible for operating an industrial juicer to press and bottle fresh vegetable and fruit juices. This role ensures consistent quality, safety, and efficiency in juice production. This is a full-time position, not to exceed 30 hours per week. Flexible availability is required, including nights, weekends, and holidays. This position reports to the Brownsboro Road Store Director. In addition to juicing, the Juicer will: Be cross-trained in other culinary tasks such as food prep and production Assist other kitchen operations as needed based on staffing or demand

Requirements

  • Food Safety Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • At least 1 year of experience in a food service or production environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs (e.g., produce, bottles, juicer components)
  • Able to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting during prep, production, and cleanup
  • Repetitive hand and arm motions required for juicing, bottling, and labeling
  • Comfortable working in cool, damp environments, such as walk-in coolers or near rinsing areas
  • Ability to safely operate and clean a commercial juicer
  • Tolerance for moderate noise from juicing equipment
  • Able to maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced, repetitive environment

Responsibilities

  • Operate a commercial juicer safely and efficiently to produce high-quality bottled juices
  • Follow standardized recipes to ensure consistent quality, taste, and yield
  • Monitor juice quality during production and adjust as needed
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain juicing equipment as part of daily routine
  • Test new recipes and provide feedback
  • Assist with general food prep, portioning, packaging, and basic culinary production
  • Step into other culinary roles as needed based on staffing or business needs
  • Follow prep lists and help achieve daily production targets
  • Use Catapult, our inventory management system, to pitch waste and transfer inventory accurately
  • Ensure proper labeling, dating, and storage of all ingredients and finished goods
  • Track waste and maintain production records as directed
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards based on local and state health codes
  • Use appropriate protective gear (gloves, cut-resistant gloves, etc.) during prep and juicing
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace with a "clean as you go" mindset
  • Understand and follow safety procedures specific to juicing equipment
  • Answer customer questions about juice offerings and ingredients
  • Provide product recommendations and help promote seasonal or featured items
