About The Position

At Stony Brook Medicine, a Jr. Systems Administrator is a valuable member of our team, who will provide support for the management of our Identity and Access Management solutions. The Jr. Systems Administrator will assist in the provisioning of user accounts, terminations and changes. The qualified candidates will possess outstanding communication skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence. They will be a team player with the ability to work independently. Multitasking skills are a must, the candidate much possess strong analytical skills as well.

Requirements

Associates degree or 2 years' experience in Information Technology.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent analytical skills are essential for this job. The candidate must be able to troubleshoot identity and access issues quickly by identifying sources of problems.
The candidate must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment are essential.

Nice To Haves

2 or more years' experience in Active Directory Management.
2 or more years' experience in user account administration.
Ability to write and/or edit scripts.
Experience with Clinical User Access with but not limited to Cerner, Eclipsys and PACS.
Experience with Vendor remote access software.

Responsibilities

Creation and management of user accounts, home folders and network shares.
Provide timely response and follow-up for day-to-day Help Desk tickets and support issues.
Active Directory account, group and OU maintenance.
Maintain existing scripts and automated jobs.
Provide support for account and access related issues.
Provide support for remote access solutions.
Maintain documentation and runbooks for the Identity Management department.
License management and assignment for Office 365.
Maintain Group Policies.
Provision clinical application access.
