About The Position

Pacific Coast Sales & Service is the San Francisco district office representing the Trane Company that manufactures, manages and services HVAC equipment systems and controls. We are currently seeking a Jr. System Administrator to join our IT Team in Sunnyvale, CA.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of related experience or training
  • Organizational, communication, customer service & people skills required
  • Flexible to work overtime/weekends as required

Responsibilities

  • Provide troubleshooting support and resolve issues with computer hardware and software
  • Maintain and repair company systems (including software and hardware) and provide update support to endpoints
  • Updates: Install, update, and fix desktop systems
  • Address basic network issues related to company systems
  • Arrange system upgrades and organize parts replacements
  • Train and guide staff on hardware and software usage
  • Support in testing and deployment of new systems
  • Installing and configuring operating systems, applications, and hardware on servers and workstations.
  • Applying software updates and security patches to systems regularly
  • Creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts and managing access levels and software licensing.
  • Monitoring network performance and identifying potential issues
  • Assisting with data backup procedures and ensuring system recovery capabilities
  • Creating and maintaining system documentation, including user guides and procedures
  • Providing "tier 2" technical support to end-users on hardware and software issues
