About The Position

Pacific Coast Sales & Service is the San Francisco district office representing the Trane Company that manufactures, manages and services HVAC equipment systems and controls. We are currently seeking a Jr. System Administrator to join our IT Team in Sunnyvale, CA.

Requirements

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent experience
At least 3 years of related experience or training
Organizational, communication, customer service & people skills required
Flexible to work overtime/weekends as required

Responsibilities

Provide troubleshooting support and resolve issues with computer hardware and software
Maintain and repair company systems (including software and hardware) and provide update support to endpoints
Updates: Install, update, and fix desktop systems
Address basic network issues related to company systems
Arrange system upgrades and organize parts replacements
Train and guide staff on hardware and software usage
Support in testing and deployment of new systems
Installing and configuring operating systems, applications, and hardware on servers and workstations.
Applying software updates and security patches to systems regularly
Creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts and managing access levels and software licensing.
Monitoring network performance and identifying potential issues
Assisting with data backup procedures and ensuring system recovery capabilities
Creating and maintaining system documentation, including user guides and procedures
Providing "tier 2" technical support to end-users on hardware and software issues
