About The Position

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for daily management, scheduling, direction, mentoring, coaching, discipline, evaluation, compliance, interviewing, hiring and training of staff. Oversee contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance and adherence to best practices, corporate standards and deadlines. Execute detailed inspections of corporate residential and commercial buildings, grounds, including townhouse and apartments units to ensure proper standards of: Safety  Subleasing Hoarding  Repairs  Landscaping  Amenity upkeep, Misc. violations Evaluating and selecting remediation approaches to any issues and directing staff to the proper cures.  Conduct inspections and investigations regarding non-compliance of occupancy agreement (e.g. holdovers) and refer with recommendations to appropriate department(s). Respond to emergencies (e.g. floods, fires, gas leaks) as necessary. Represent housing management at all legal possessions and evictions in conjunction with City Marshall and other agencies. Enforces occupancy agreement policies and rules, issuing community complaints as necessary.  Administer fees for all community complaints, waive community complaints as warranted. Conduct investigations regarding infractions and represent management at appeal committee hearings. Conduct investigations regarding personal property claims and compile information for recommendations to Risk Management. Effectively communicate in person, telephone, email and written correspondence regarding all property concerns. Compiling, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends for reports and presentations.  Review shareholder correspondence, research and respond accordingly. Represent the department at varied building association meetings, board meetings, cooperator service forums, and appeals meetings. Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 3–5 years’ supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Knowledge of NYC building codes and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and/or days based on department needs

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or equivalent preferred
  • Bi-lingual a plus
  • Knowledge of Yardi / BJ Murray (a plus)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (preferred)
