About The Position

The Junior Process Engineer supports production and continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing processes, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting in project execution. This role works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and CI teams to improve safety, efficiency, and cost performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline of 0–3 years of experience (internship/co-op experience preferred)
• Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Pivot tables, data analysis)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in a regulated environment (ISO, GMP) preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production performance (safety, quality, scrap, output).
• Analyze process data to identify gaps vs. budget or standard.
• Support root cause analysis using tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto.
• Assist in reducing downtime, waste, and variability.
• Support CI projects (cost reduction).
• Track KPIs such as OEE, productivity (e.g., linear meters per attendant minute), and scrap.
• Participate in kaizen events and improvement workshops.
• Help standardize best practices and update SOPs.
• Assist in CAPEX implementation and validation.
• Support equipment trials and new material qualifications.
• Collect and analyze data for project justification.
• Work with Production Supervisors to solve daily issues.
• Support Quality in non-conformance investigations.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for recurring equipment issues.
• Other duties as assigned
