About The Position

The Estimator supports the development of cost estimates and budget inputs for Fleet Modernization and Newbuild projects. This role assists in gathering data, performing quantity take-offs, reviewing drawings, and maintaining basic estimating tools and documentation. The Estimator works under supervision and collaborates with cross-functional partners to provide accurate, timely, and organized estimating support.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, construction, project management, or a related field preferred.
2–4 years of relevant estimating experience.
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; familiarity with AutoCAD or estimating software helpful.
Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Clear verbal and written communication skills in a multicultural environment.

Nice To Haves

Ship or construction experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing cost estimates for refurbishment and newbuild scopes.
Support data collection efforts to help build and maintain a cost database.
Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications to determine material quantities and basic labor requirements.
Gather supplier quotations and pricing information to support project budgets.
Help monitor design progress and flag cost-related impacts under guidance from senior team members.
Perform basic cost reviews, forecast checks, and data verification activities.
Maintain organized estimating files, logs, and documentation.
Work on multiple projects with direction, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met.
Travel occasionally if required (typically 0–10%).
Performs other duties as required.
