About The Position

RBA Builders is looking for a motivated entry level Junior Estimator to join our Preconstruction team. This is a great opportunity for someone just starting their construction career who wants to learn how projects are priced, planned, and built.
This role is ideal for a hardworking, detail-oriented person who enjoys problem solving, working with numbers, and learning how commercial buildings come together.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Organized, dependable, and detail focused
• Comfortable working with numbers and basic math
• Positive attitude and ability to take coaching
• Basic computer skills (Excel, email, file organization)
• Ability to read drawings or learn quickly with training
• Good communication and follow through
• Strong attention to detail
• OSHA 10 or willingness to obtain is a plus

Nice To Haves

• Interest in construction management or building trades
• Experience working summer jobs in construction or similar environments
• Desire to grow into a long-term estimating or project management career

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications
• Support senior estimators in assembling bid proposals and pricing packages
• Help solicit, organize, and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Maintain estimating spreadsheets and documentation for bid accuracy
• Participate in bid reviews and internal preconstruction meetings
• Learn company estimating standards, workflows, and tools
• Communicate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors as needed
