About The Position

As a Junior Drafting Specialist at Stanley Black and Decker, in the Smart Storage Solutions business unit you will play a crucial role in creating customer-facing drawings and designs using Revit and other AutoDesk applications. You will collaborate with the drafting team and territory sales managers to ensure that all drawings meet company standards and customer specifications. Our objective is to consistently deliver high-quality service and produce precise, timely drawings for our customers.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years experience in Revit and other AutoDesk applications (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.). Academic experience is considered
• Basic understanding of architectural and engineering principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize and organize a large workload and aggressive goal expectations.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the company.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with 3D modeling and visualization software.
• Previous internship or work experience in a drafting or design role is a plus

Responsibilities

• Utilize Revit and other AutoDesk applications to create detailed and accurate customer-facing drawings, models, walk throughs and renderings.
• Collaborate with senior drafting specialists and territory sales managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
• Create design documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
• Ensure all drawings are compliant with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from team members and customers.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation for easy access and reference.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and address any drafting-related issues.
• Stay updated on the latest drafting technologies and software enhancements to improve efficiency and quality of work.
• Support the drafting team in various tasks as needed, including research and data collection.
