About The Position

The Junior Business Analyst supports reporting, data analysis, and operational processes across the organization. This role is responsible for delivering accurate bordereaux reporting, , assisting with collections tracking, and preparing regulatory and ad hoc reports, including Lloyd's DOI CAT reporting. This role also supports internal control monitoring, audit readiness activities, and documentation processes required for SOC 1 and SOC 2 compliance. The Junior Business Analyst works closely with Finance, Operations, and IT to ensure data accuracy, timely reporting, and effective system monitoring. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong Excel skills who is looking to grow within a data-driven business environment.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a reporting, financial, or analyst support role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including VBA/macros, pivot tables, and advanced reporting functions.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or data querying tools preferred.
  • Basic understanding of internal controls, SOC1 and SOC2 frameworks preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow structured change management processes.
  • Basic understanding of risk assessment concepts preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate across Finance, Operations, and IT teams.
  • Basic understanding of financial reporting and regulatory reporting requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, validate, and deliver bordereaux reports , including fielding internal and external data requests and querying data sources as needed.
  • Assist with collections tracking and follow-up reporting , partnering with Finance and Operations to monitor outstanding balances.
  • Prepare and support Lloyd's DOI CAT reporting , ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity.
  • Generate and distribute ad hoc and scheduled reports to support client and internal business needs.
  • Utilize Excel (including VBA/macros, pivot tables, and advanced formulas) to automate reporting and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain and query databases to extract accurate and actionable data.
  • Review data for inconsistencies, errors, or discrepancies and proactively resolve issues.
  • Support documentation and testing related to SOC1 and SOC2 controls, including maintaining evidence of control performance.
  • Assist with remediation tracking for identified control gaps.
  • Validate data lineage from source systems to reports to support audit traceability.
  • Support cross-functional teams with data analysis and reporting requests.
  • Ensure all reporting and data handling align with internal controls and compliance standards.
  • Assist in documenting process workflows and identifying key control points related to financial and operational reporting.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational and reporting objectives.
