This is an overnight shift, typically scheduled from 11PM to 7AM. Schedules are subject to change with or without notice based on business need. Under the Director of Engineering, you will maintain guestrooms, public areas, and the heart-of-house, by performing various tasks related to a variety of trades including but not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and masonry to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel Every day is different but mostly you'll be Operating and maintaining stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as steam engines, air compressors, generators, motors, turbines, and steam boilers to provide utilities such as light, heat, or power for buildings and industrial processes. Performing preventive maintenance throughout hotel including but not limited to work in guest rooms, public spaces, event space, kitchens, offices, heart-of-house areas, etc. Responding to and handing guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner Responding to all emergency situations including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters and power failures; notify the appropriate authorities. Making rounds of the hotel property to ensure everything is in working order Completing maintenance requests, taking equipment and meter readings and maintaining log to notify the next shift. Documenting all parts used and parts needed to be purchased. Coordinating the repair of elevator.
